You reach the bay of Messolonghi through a narrow channel marked with buoys. Make sure to stay in the middle of the Channel. Inside the bay it's possible to stay at anchorage, use some of the mooring places on the east side by anchoring stern-to or use the Marina in the west.
We stayed a few years in the Marina Messolonghi. It's a very nice and friendly place. The bar in the Marina is very good for coffee and some small snacks. The toilets and the showers are always very clean, the Office stuff very friendly. The Prices back in 2017 very reasonable. The Marina is placed inside a nature reserve and swamp. Some time of the year you can be surrounded from mosquitos.
You are allowed to work on your Boat, there is a Shop right in the Marina to buy the parts.
Messolonghi is a small Village and a 10min walk from the Marina. With many Restaurants, some shops and almost no Tourists very authentic. On the eastern side of the bay is a very good Restaurant called Alatiéra. It was always a pleasure to eat there. Don't miss that if you stop over to stay in Messolonghi.
