Europe – Spain – Mallorca – Cala Varques

Cala Varques (also known as Cala Barques) is a quiet and unspoiled bay about 12 km south of Porto Cristo on the east coast of Majorca. The beach is around 90 meters in length and 60 meters deep and has waves crashing against it, funneled in from the cove. The water in the bay is crystal clear and the beautiful white sandy beach ist garded by pinewoods. ***edit: The beach has been hit by a storm in early 2020. The beach is now rather rocky but otherwise the bay is still beautiful.
