Europe – Spain – Canary Islands – Lanzarote – Playa del Papagayo

This is a very big and good protected anchor field. The view to the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches is just stunning. There are many beaches around, also the famous «Playa del Papagayo» is kind of a natural little bay. It gets crowded very quickly. On top of the beach is a restaurant with a perfect view.

The anchor was holding very strong, but be careful it gets trapped quickly behind a rock. We had to dive twice and it was difficult to get the hook back up. Travel to the city center or the Marina Rubicon is around 10 – 15 minutes with the dinghy.

This is an anchorage perfectly to stay also for a long time. If the wind changes you can find protection on the other side of the bay. It's really recommended to make a stop and enjoy the beautiful beaches and the fantastic view of the Monument of Los Ajaches.
