The main Marina is called «Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria» and offers many places for guests. It is the perfect Marina if you plan to cross the Atlantic. Every Winter the ARC (Worlcruising Club) boats are leaving from the Marina. It might not be possible to stay in the Marina for does few months (October – December). During that time it is possible to stay on anchorage right next to the Marina. It's a very good place to stay and very well protected. There is a city beach at the end of the anchorage, so please don't dump your toilet into the sea. You can use the facilities of the Marina after registration.
There are many shops offering equipment and services to prepare for the crossing. We can definitely recommend Rolnautic as a provider of spare parts and equipment. Besides that Rolnautic Varadero is, without doubt, the ideal place to carry out the maintenance, repair, and tune-up of your boat before sailing the Atlantic ocean. If you need to tune your rigging, repair your sails the best address is Alisios.
The Marina Areal offers many restaurants, a grocery store, mechanical stores, a laundry, and many more. The sanitary facilities are very good and regularly cleaned.
